Desire-Paths

I watched this inspiring TED talk the other night. Tom Hulme spoke to: What we can learn from shortcuts. It was focused around revisiting our designs and seeing how they are used in the real world in context. I think revisiting design is very important to improving our ability to design. Tom uses the word Desire-paths to describe the paths that we ourselves create as shortcuts. In the days following watching this talk I found many Desired paths around the VIU campus and have a deep fascination with them.
